Africa Print Expo Highlights Growth Opportunities In Durban

Africa Print Expo Highlights Growth Opportunities In Durban With the challenges of the weakening rand and slow economic growth, printers need to diversify to remain profitable. With this in mind, the Africa Print Expo, which took place at the Durban ICC from 24-25 February, delivered sales and good leads to exhibitors as well as solutions that visitors can use to diversify their businesses, such as digital printing, 3D printing, finishing, label printing, wide format digital and more. Exhibitor feedback about the event was very positive: ‘Sign Africa and Africa Print Durban was a great success for Kemtek. We had a static display which showcased 3D, Aristo and Durst. We had a lot of interest and many leads were generated. Our presence showed local business owners and opposition alike that we are serious players who offer premium products and support,’ said Nigel Tretheway, Kemtek Imaging Systems. ‘We had a great show in Durban, we sold the demo unit to a customer and we have plenty of sales leads to follow up on. I believe many latex, solvent and eco-solvent users are now looking for newer technology such as our UV LED printer,’ said Tomonori Hemmi, Fujifilm. ‘I found the Durban show to be quite busy contrary to normal events held in Durban. We had excessively high foot traffic on our booth expressing interest in our 3D printers that all sold out at the show. We launched a DIY range of machines that are cost effective for even the home user. We are trying to take technology to the home user and make printing fun,’ said Patrick Naude, CMYK Industries. ‘Overall, we got a large amount of leads. Visitors were interested in all of our products, especially the V-3 channel letter cutting machine, of which we sold one to a contact we made at the expo. We are expecting to sell more,’ said Bruce Badenhorst, Exion. Highlights Included: Platinum sponsor Canon South Africa exhibited the ImagePRESS C800. Kemtek showcased what can be achieved with Durst and Aristo products, as well as 3D printing solutions from Rapid 3D. CMYK Industries exhibited the iColor 700 desktop digital label press. Midcomp exhibited the HP PageWide XL 8000 for the first time in Africa. Each...

CMYK Partners With Leading Chinese Toner Manufacturer

CMYK Partners With Leading Chinese Toner Manufacturer

By on Mar 3, 2016 in News |

CMYK Partners With Leading Chinese Toner Manufacturer Motivated by its continuing global expansion, South African based CMYK Industries has partnered with a leading toner manufacturer in China to “co-develop, promote and sell” its polymerized color and monochrome toners. CMYK say they first started talking to the toner manufacturer, whose name remains confidential at this time, back in October during RemaxWorld Expo in Zhuhai, run by Recycling Times Corporation. However they have delayed the announcement until now, waiting for their markets to test the samples and provide feedback. CMYK say they are very excited about the new range of toners describing them as exceptional. CMYK’s CEO Patrick Naude told RT Media, “We have not tested any products as good as these in the past decade. I’m amazed at the exceptional transfer efficiency the range has to offer.” According to the agreement, CMYK Industries will work with the toner manufacturer to market its entire range using new brand names called “Unity” for the color range, and “Majestic” for the monochrome range. Confident in its new range’s “all-measurable” performance, CMYK Industries says they are challenging existing and potential customers to “see the results for themselves”. Naude added, “We have been seeing a huge difference in the price structure within emerging and developed markets. CMYK decided to invest in a product that is competitive on price and at the same time does not compromise on quality. Price and quality go hand in hand.” Download...

CMYK Industries Speaks About Its Unity Colour Toner

CMYK Industries Speaks About Its Unity Colour Toner

By on Feb 16, 2016 in News |

CMYK Industries Speaks About Its Unity Colour Toner CMYK Industries after its successful Global Launch of its Unity Color Toner. Mr. Patrick Naude the CEO of CMYK Industries speaks about what made him sit and realize about the Color Toner Market on a Global basis. Mr. Naude Says “The aftermarket only has less than 8% market share because its toners are not good enough”. Plain and simple. Everything else equal, if the aftermarket had a high performance toner and the cartridge remanufacturing was done correctly, the industry would grow market share because end user customers want to save money on color cartridges. Today the market sells about 300 tons of color toner a month. The world-wide demand for all laser cartridges sat at 375 million a year in 2012 and is expected to rise to 442 million by 2015, because of the increase in color printer sales. Each color machine needs a Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black cartridge. As the pie gets bigger the aftermarket share falls. Our Unity Color toners are chemically finished to spheredize the particles. So they are very round and between 6-8 micron in size. CPT is a misused and misunderstood term. Chemically produced toner does not necessarily mean Polymerized. We do not sell pulverized for color, but we have a range of polymerized and chemically finished color toners. You will agree with experts that Unity Color Toner sets new industry standards. Backed by monumental technological and financial investment, Unity Color gives real OEM-like performance for the aftermarket at the right...
